Amadou turned out to be a talented furniture maker
Amadou had been a carpenter in Mali. He had been at the asylum seekers' centre for several years and had since not been practising his trade as a carpenter.
While he was preparing for his return to Mali, Amadou took an intensive carpentry course at Solid Road. He made various pieces of furniture there. Amadou quickly got the taste of it again and he turned out to be a very talented furniture maker, with much attention to detail and precision.
He really enjoyed his rediscovered talents and was very proud of the furniture he had made. Upon his return to Mali he was guided by a Dutch contact person from Solid Road in setting up his own carpentry business.
